Mission possible: The BMW IX with H&R lowering springs

With the electric counterpart to the BMW X5, the developers are following the reduced design language of prestigious SUVs with powerful cuboid dimensions. If SUV, then big please. The BMW IX fits like a glove and puts this vehicle category high up in buyers’ favour.

Speaking of “standing on top”: with the lowering springs now available, the H&R engineers ensure that the vehicle’s centre of gravity is lowered by 35 millimetres on both axles. As the IX is rarely driven off-road, the ground clearance is still luscious, but the handling is significantly more sporty. The lateral inclination in fast corners is noticeably reduced and the steering behaviour is even more direct. Nevertheless, ride comfort and payload remain at the standard level.

With the optionally available TRAK+ wheel spacers made of high-tensile aluminium, standard and aftermarket wheels can be aligned to the fender edges with millimetre precision and ensure the perfect wheelbase.

In the case of leased vehicles, all H&R suspension upgrades can of course be removed without leaving a trace if the lessor requires the vehicle to be restored to its as-delivered condition.

All H&R products are “Made in Germany” and always have the necessary part approvals.
