All good things come in threes: the new BMW M5 Touring with H&R lowering springs
It’s done: The blue-whites from Bavaria have come to terms with this and are finally launching the third generation of the long-awaited BMW M5 Touring.
It was clear that in this case a new superlative was required: 727 hp from a V8 biturbo plus plug-in hybrid support provide 1,000 Nm of torque and breathtaking driving performance. It is also clear that the engineers of the H&R development department were on fire and are already presenting lowering springs, which M GmbH has neither for money nor for good words in store. While maintaining the original adaptive shock absorbers, the vehicle’s height on the front axle drops by 20 to 25 millimetres depending on the vehicle, and the rear lowering is 10-15 millimetres. This ensures an even more direct steering behaviour, the lateral inclination of the car body is reduced in fast-driving curves. Not least, the forced look of the lowered vehicle centre of gravity underlines the idea of the perfect high-performance machine. For the sake of good order, it should also be mentioned that the payload remains at series level – so the basic idea of touring is satisfied!
All H&R components always have the necessary part approvals and are made in Germany!
