Hot Hatch Hammer The Golf 8 GTI Clubsport with H&R lowering springs
The Clubsport represents the evolutionary pinnacle of the 8th-generation Golf GTI. Packed with power and honed for dynamic handling, it was nevertheless designed by the manufacturer for a wide range of markets, taking national road conditions into account. So there’s still room for improvement, which is why H&R has developed lowering springs for the Clubsport that guarantee a further noticeable boost in dynamic performance. And, on top of that, they make the sharpest GTI look as fast as it really is.
The lowering springs, precisely tuned to the standard components, ensure road holding that leaves nothing to be desired. More direct steering response and reduced body roll in fast corners are immediately impressive, yet the Clubsport remains suitable for long-distance driving. And should the car be fitted with adaptive dampers, these continue to function and regulate fully as usual.
Optionally, H&R Trak+ wheel spacers made from high-tensile aluminium ensure a taut wheelbase. Available in either silver or black anodised finishes, they allow both standard and aftermarket wheels to be aligned with millimetre precision against the fender edges.
In the case of leased vehicles, all H&R suspension upgrades can, of course, be removed without leaving a trace should the lessor require the vehicle to be returned to its original condition.
As is standard with H&R, all products are supplied with the necessary certificates (TTG) and are Made in Germany!
