H&R in Motorsport 2026
For decades, H&R has been one of the world’s leading manufacturers of sport suspension components – racing cars fitted with H&R springs have secured countless victories. The secret to H&R’s success has always been the transfer of technology from motorsport into the development of innovative suspension components.
In the 2026 season, H&R products can be found in almost every class – from the DTM and NLS to rally and Dakar vehicles, Formula 3, Formula E and Formula 1. Many racing cars from leading OEMs are also factory-equipped with H&R springs straight away.
Added to this is the cooperation with various manufacturers, racing teams and racing series.
For example, H&R partner ABT is competing in the DTM with two Lamborghini Temerarios and is placing two Lamborghini Huracans in the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring race.
H&R Partner BMW Motorsport competes in the IMSA, the GTWC, the Macau Grand Prix and the WEC with a range of GT3 and V8 Hybrid models. At the 2026 ADAC RAVENOL 24 Hours of Nürburgring, BMW Motorsport will also be causing a sensation with a one-off BMW M3 Touring GT3 in the SP-X class.
HWA is fielding three EVO-R cars in the SP-X class at the ADAC RAVENOL 24 Hours of Nürburgring race.
The traditional H&R team of MÜHLNER will be racing a wide variety of Porsche models in the 2026 season, depending on the racing series. From the 24-hour races at Barcelona, Daytona, Dubai, Mugello, the Nürburgring, Paul Ricard and Spa to the NLS, the calendar is packed. The line-up of cars ranges from the 911 GT3 R and the 911 GT3 to the Cayman GT4 CS.
H&R partner TURNER MOTORSPORT is a well-established name in US motorsport. The team has been competing successfully for many years in various American racing series with a range of BMW racing cars.
For many years, H&R has been a series sponsor of various racing series, such as the ADAC RAVENOL 24 Hours of Nürburgring, as well as the RCN, the STT and the NLS.
Through the “H&R Junior Team!”, led by team principal Kai Jordan, H&R supports the development of young talents in motorsport.
The Polo Cup offers both rookies and amateur drivers a platform for affordable motorsport using identical cars. The series is based on the VW Polo GTI, which can be purchased ‘ready to race’ from the organiser, MARACO Management. The prepared cars are exclusively fitted with a specially developed H&R racing suspension as well as sport anti-roll bars.
Our DNA is Motorsport – From motorsport to the road
Sven Gramm, Director of Marketing & Communications at H&R, comments: “For us, technology transfer from motorsport is more than just inspiration – it is our development laboratory. The stresses placed on suspension components in motorsport, particularly in endurance races, are so extreme that the dynamic load would far exceed the service life of a conventional road vehicle compared to normal road traffic. Through its involvement in racing, H&R can test new materials and manufacturing methods in fast motion. In this process, both the precise feedback from the drivers – who can assess the behaviour of the components over the race distance with great accuracy – and subsequent analyses in our quality department play a central role. After use in racing, the parts are systematically inspected at H&R – including measurement of length and spring rate, as well as assessment of the surfaces. “What proves itself on the racetrack under extreme conditions is incorporated directly into our standard products. This results in suspension components that not only deliver performance but also combine the highest precision with suitability for everyday use. Our customers therefore benefit from our motorsport DNA – something you can feel on every road.”
Numerous victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Nürburgring, eight DTM championship titles with BMW, Mercedes and Audi, victory in the FIA GT World Championship with Porsche, the FIA World Rally Championship and the FIA World Rallycross Championship – to name but a few – are testament to the uncompromising quality of H&R suspension components – Made in Germany!
