Adrenaline for the dual-heart: The BMW M240i xDRIVE MHEV with H&R lowering springs
As we all know, there’s always room for ‘a bit more’. And that’s why BMW has fitted a small hybrid unit to the by no means underpowered M240i petrol engine, which adds a further 200 Newton metres of torque.
Reason enough, then, to upgrade the suspension as well. For instance, with the new H&R lowering springs, which not only suit the sporty two-door perfectly thanks to the reduced ground clearance but also have an extremely invigorating effect on driving pleasure. Minimal body roll in fast corners and noticeably more direct steering response allow the 2 Series to tackle bends with such pluckiness that you actually don’t want to get out of the car at all.
So, they’ve got it spot on!
Optionally, H&R Trak+ wheel spacers made from high-tensile aluminium ensure a wide wheelbase. Available in either silver or black anodised finishes, they allow both standard and aftermarket wheels to be aligned with the fender edges with millimetre precision.
In the case of leased vehicles, all H&R suspension upgrades can, of course, be removed without leaving any traces should the lessor require the vehicle to be returned to its original condition.
As is standard with H&R, all products are supplied with the necessary type-approval certificates (TTG) and are Made in Germany!
