Dynamics on track: the Renault Rafale with H&R lowering springs
SUVs with a hatchback also look good at Renault, and the ‘Rafale’ is no exception. As a hybrid, the French combine a three-cylinder combustion engine with a 70 hp electric motor. H&R lowering springs now provide the necessary dash of ‘sport’ to ensure the necessary driving pleasure.
The lowered centre of gravity (front 20mm / rear 30mm) ensures more direct steering behaviour and reduced body movement when cornering at speed or during sudden load changes. The ride comfort, on the other hand, remains suitable for long journeys, while the payload remains at the standard level. Visually, the measure also suits the angular hatchback SUV perfectly.
With the optionally available TRAK+ wheel spacers made of high-tensile aluminium, standard and aftermarket wheels can be aligned to the wing edges with millimetre precision.
