Coil-Over Suspension,SPECIAL APPLICATION

FORD CAPRI CONVERSION BY HOLY HALL WITH H&R RACE COIL OVER

1.5 years of passion, dedication and countless hours characterised the birth of an automotive masterpiece: the Ford Capri conversion by Holy Hall.

Engine and performance:
Under the bonnet of this unique vehicle beats the heart of a V8 LS1 engine from the Corvette, which boasts an impressive 5.7 litres of capacity and an output of 350 hp.

Body- and paintwork:
Holy Hall bravely ventured into the conversion without resorting to CAD programmes or exact measurements – the entire car was recreated using pictures available on the internet. The original body of the Capri mk3 was carefully machined to make room for a self-built tubular frame. The Aston Martin Green (Formula 1) paintwork gives the vehicle an unmistakable presence.

Body kit and special conversion:
The body kit from England was completely redesigned by Holy Hall, including a unique rear end created by a custom mould.

Axle geometry and suspension:
The front and rear axles were given a complete overhaul with the axle geometry of the BMW E90. On the front axle, only the mounting points of the BMW E90 wishbones were used while the rear axle was completely taken over from a BMW E90 and fitted with special wishbones.

To take the whole project to a new level in terms of suspension, a H&R racing coil over was installed. This is an exclusive custom-made product which has spring rates and shock absorber characteristics on the front and rear axles individually matching  the new vehicle weight (1300kg). On the front axle, a specially modified racing version including damping force adjustment and H&R racing spring system ensures the perfect setup. The rear axle impresses with an exclusive pushrod system, racing aluminium shock absorbers including damping force adjustment, a H&R racing spring system and double uniball connection.

Wheels and tyres:
The choice fell on Rotiform LHR-M rims with Yokohama slick tyres (VA 10.5j x 17 ET -8, HA 13j x 20 ET -10).

Interior and drive:
A 6-speed manual gearbox, adapted from BMW to the Corvette engine, promises a driving experience in a class of its own. The complete aluminium and sheet metal interior in combination with the lightweight Kirkey aluminium seats, underlines the focus on weight reduction and maximum performance.

Exhaust system, customisation & tank system:
The exhaust system, created in co-operation with Julian from German Welding Tools GmbH, and the thermal insulation from ThermoTech are two further examples of what makes this vehicle unique. The tank system was provided by Philipp Kaess (Arlows) and almost all parts on the vehicle are custom-made and built by HolyHall itself (e.g. rear lights, spoiler, windows etc.).

Conclusion:
The Ford Capri from Holy Hall is not just any car, but a symphony of design, technology and craftsmanship. Every detail tells a story of dedication and precision. A driving work of art that pushes the boundaries of what is possible and epitomises the passion for automotive perfection.

WE ARE PROUD TO BE A PART OF THIS FANTASTIC PROJECT AND LOOK FORWARD TO SHOWING YOU THIS ONE-OFF AT OUR STAND.
